I remember learning about the timeless Latin phrase ‘memento mori’ during my Polish language literature lessons. While examining the masterpieces of classical antiquity and later Renaissance, we discussed the meaning of living a full life while remembering death. Because this is what ‘memento mori‘ means – to ‘remember about dying’.
