Real talk: surrounding yourself with symbols of death encourages positive outlook on life. When one is faced with the inevitability of dying, here and now becomes a much more enjoyable place.

Hence the new cross-stitch pattern is a beautiful #skull from the beautiful design by Julie de Graag, Memento mori (1916), sitting on a colourful background. Yum.

Pattern Info

The pattern is designed on 14 Count Aida Fabric size.

The higher the Aida fabric’s count (stitches per inches), the smaller the final pattern.

How to read the chart table:

No. indicates total number of stitches for each floss colour.

Length indicates how many skeins (one skein = one bundle of six-strand embroidery floss) you need for the design.

Strands indicate number of strands of the floss used for the design. Typically, you use two.

B/S value indicates backstitches.

It was established on the 5th of January, 2021, and continues to provide free counted cross-stitch patterns for those, who need a creative and offline distraction. CSV is based in Vienna, Austria, which inspired the name of the website.
